From time to time, brides ask whether it’s possible to have a coloured wedding veil embroidered at Rebecca Anne Designs. While my signature style is rooted in soft ivory tones and understated detail, I recognise the desire to explore meaningful personalisation through colour. In this blog, I’ll be sharing more about how I use colour in a way that aligns with my design ethos, what options are available, and how you can still create something striking, symbolic, and uniquely yours—even without bold, multicoloured embroidery.

Coloured Wedding Veils at Rebecca Anne Designs

My veils are rooted in subtle elegance, with embroidery designed to complement—not overpower—your bridal look. The vast majority of my brides are drawn to the delicate ivory designs I showcase across my portfolio, and that is where my creative focus remains. That said, I do offer a handful of carefully chosen thread colours for brides looking to add a gentle, meaningful nod to their palette, especially if they’re curious about having a coloured wedding veil.

The majority of my coloured veil designs are two tone—adding texture and interest without overpowering your overall bridal look. I’ve found that adding a subtle element of colour can create a beautiful highlight. Whether it’s a single motif stitched in a dusky tone or a delicate phrase in a contrasting thread, these thoughtful inclusions allow the embroidery to really stand out.

The Black Edit: Striking, Stylish, and Sophisticated Veils

One of the boldest colour options I offer is The Black Edit—a curated collection of designs embroidered in dramatic black thread. Perfect for fashion-forward brides or non-traditional celebrations, black embroidery offers depth and definition while maintaining the softness and elegance Rebecca Anne Designs is known for.

It’s a confident alternative to ivory without being overly colourful, and it allows for striking design moments—whether you choose handwritten vows, meaningful words, or celestial flourishes. You can explore more of this collection in my blog about The Black Edit.

What Colours Are Available at Rebecca Anne Designs?

While I don’t offer a wide rainbow of choices, there are a few carefully curated colours available in my Limited Editions—including muted dusky blue and soft peach fuzz. Every now and then, I’ll trial a new tone if it feels right for the design—but colour is always considered, never overwhelming.

I recently sampled a merlot red which a number of brides have gone on to order for themselves. These delicate touches offer a beautiful way to create a coloured wedding veil without overpowering your look.

If you’d like to explore the colours currently available, you can find more details on my Limited Editions page or simply get in touch if you would like to discuss new options - I am always happy to explore a new bold colour veil design!
