If you're searching for a unique wedding sign to add character and charm to your celebration, you're going to love this. I’m so excited to introduce a brand-new offering at Rebecca Anne Designs: embroidered wedding signage. These romantic, textured pieces offer a beautiful and thoughtful way to add softness, sentiment and serious style to your day. In this blog, I’ll walk you through the different types of embroidered signage I now offer, how you can customise them, and how they can even complement your veil.

Why I Started Creating Embroidered Wedding Signs
I first designed embroidered wedding signage for our own December 2022 wedding. It felt like such a natural extension of my work with veils—delicate, personal, and rich with texture. I loved how organic and romantic it looked on the day, and how beautifully it photographed.
When Jeremy joined the business last summer, with his support behind the scenes, I finally had the creative freedom to experiment. Since then, I’ve been developing new veil designs and working on launching this offering for couples looking for something truly special. I know these are going to resonate with my brides who love detail, texture, and design-led storytelling just as much as I do.

Embroidered Wedding Signage Styles
There are a number of ways you can use embroidered wedding signage throughout your day. Some of the most popular include:
Wedding Welcome Signs – A warm and elegant first impression, beautifully embroidered with your names, date, or a meaningful phrase.
Seating Plans – A delicate and impactful way to guide your guests, whether it’s a traditional layout or something more free-flowing.
Ceremony or Vow Signage – Display your vows or a favourite quote as part of your ceremony backdrop.
Order of the Day – Embroidered timeline signage to share the day’s key moments in a stylish, memorable format.
Table Names or Numbers – Smaller signs for the wedding breakfast tables, styled with delicate embroidery to enhance the tablescape.
Bar Signage – A unique way to display your signature wedding cocktails, complete with playful line art illustrations of each drink.
Whether it’s one central sign or a full suite across the day, each one is made to order and entirely unique.
Personalisation & Embroidery Options
Every embroidered wedding sign is created just for you, which means there are endless ways to tailor it to your wedding style. You can choose from a range of fonts—view some of my favourites here—as well as layout, thread colour, and overall size. I can embroider onto soft tulle or a cotton base fabric (as I did for our own wedding), depending on the effect you’re after.
The content is entirely yours to decide. For a seating plan, you might want a clean, modern grid or a more scattered and organic format. Add in design motifs such as line art florals, bows, stars, or something that reflects a theme running through your day. Every detail is discussed with you to ensure the final piece reflects your wedding vision.

Matching Your Veil to Your Signage
If you’re commissioning both your veil and signage with me, there’s a lovely opportunity to create design harmony across your day. You might opt to carry a particular motif throughout—perhaps the same delicate bow that appears on your veil corner can be echoed in your welcome sign. Or you might repeat a line of your vows or date in the same font.
Even if you’re not purchasing a veil from me, your embroidered wedding sign can still reflect the personal style and story of your wedding. I can incorporate bespoke floral artwork to match your bouquet, or mirror details from your dress, stationery, or venue.
FAQs: Embroidered Wedding Signage
Where can embroidered wedding signs be hung?
Signs can be hung on wooden frames, fireplace mantels, copper stands, or draped from trees, walls and staircases—just be sure to choose a location with a clean backdrop to show the embroidery clearly. While they’re suitable for outdoor use, I wouldn’t recommend displaying them in heavy rain, as the stitching can absorb moisture and the embroidery may not sit flat.
What are the lead times?
The more time we have, the more enjoyable the bespoke design journey can be! I recommend getting in touch at least three months ahead of your wedding, but if you're more last minute, feel free to reach out and we’ll see what’s possible. All final wording and details must be confirmed two months before your date and your design will be made and sent one month before your date.
Will I get to see the design before you make it?
Absolutely! You will receive a digital mock up of the design. Also, when the sign has been cut to size, I pin the paper templates of the embroidery elements in place and send you photographs for your final approval before stitching.
What are the fabric, colour and size options?
Signs are made using either the same tulle as my veils—perfect for a cohesive look if you're already one of my brides—or a cotton base fabric. At the moment, these are available in ivory tulle and white cotton. Because each design is tested and developed on my own fabrics, I don’t currently offer embroidery onto materials provided by clients. The sizing of your signage should be dictated by the space you have for it but I can make large tulle signs up to 3m x 4m.
What is the price range?
Current price points can be found here. As with my veils, each design is bespoke, so I’ll generate a tailored quote once I have all your details.
What happens if our guest list changes after the sign is made?
Once the design is stitched, no changes can be made. I create and send signs one month before your wedding, so your guest list should be finalised by then. On our own wedding day, two guests couldn’t make it due to illness, but we didn’t mind that their names were on the table plan—they were still there in spirit and it made for a lovely reminder.
How do I care for my embroidered sign?
Like your veil, this is a keepsake. After the wedding, gently steam if needed and store flat in acid-free tissue paper—or have it professionally framed as a piece of heirloom artwork.
